Marketing Truth

The sad thing about Internet Marketing is that if you tell the truth about it, people think that you are one of the "conspiracy theory" lovers - someone who sees a suspicious figure lurking behind every bush. There is no conspiracy - what there is, is a bunch of determined people, who use the same tactics over and over, and who operate together in groups, in order to leverage each other's market base. This means that since they are all saying the same thing, it sounds like they know what they are talking about.

So when many people are repeating the same lies and half truths over and over, it is very hard to let go of them, and not just think that they are wrong sometimes, but to realize that the whole concept they are teaching is flawed. I explain more about this in the Internet Marketing Deception page, so I won't repeat all the information here.

This section is really just an expansion on that information though - to illustrate why different marketing types end up not being what they are represented as, and why so many people are still deceived by them.

And some of the items listed are here not so much to condemn as to clarify just what they are, and why they won't work like you think they should.

Some free marketing does really work. And there are many online marketing strategies that work very well. They just aren't always the ones that you are being told to do.
